Classrooms all
over Kenya are short on teachers and would welcome any volunteers wanting to
help in giving classes or assisting in them. Secondary education in Kenya is
not free and is grade dependant, so the results of primary school pupils are
essential if they can progress. There is always much to do in a
school. These kids are waiting for you!

Medical
clinics provide a great opportunity to nurse locals with day to day
symptoms. Ideal experience for anyone who works in a nursing/medical environment. Dealing with and assisting the sick in a developing country like
Kenya is incredibly rewarding, whatever you are able to contribute.

Working in
children's home and orphanages can be a real eye opener. Kenya has thousands
of orphans in every city. Helping out in the homes and spending time with
the children benefits them enormously. The children here only expect the
basics. Food , a bed and some company. Working in these places is
challenging but would also leave you with unforgettable memories.

Kenya has
thousands of square miles of game reserves. The upkeep of such a large area
for both land and animals puts a strain on government resources. Volunteers
working here cover all sorts of tasks. From nursing sick animals to
repairing fencing and boundaries.

Sleeping

Assistance in
the game reserves aids the reduction of endangered species of plants and
animals.

Tips....
Remember when
planning you trip you may want some extra time after your placement for
travelling.
You can get a 3 month visa on
entry at the airport. You can extend that locally for a small fee if you
want to stay longer.
