	Inspire Volunteering are a small company based in Ireland where our main office is located. Before setting the company up in 2006, Mathew Muckle and wife Catherine had spent several months volunteering in Kenya at several locations thus have a great knowledge of the day to day life of being a volunteer. They have organised and funded several private projects in deepest Kenya as well as India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Both have travelled the world extensively and believe many people want to put something back, but often can't find the right type of people to go with. Many volunteers seeking projects that do need help, not ones set up as volunteer holidays! This company therefore goes some way to give people that opportunity. Every month Inspire sends many quality volunteers send to local communities to benefit real places that really do need them. We don't consider what we do volun-tourism orientated. Inspire believe in informal, personal experiences, so that people can interact with locals and live with them to gain a greater understanding of foreign life and the issues affecting the location. Inspire also support many projects, and organise donations and assistance, as many projects are truly struggling. Volunteering should be rewarding, fun and informal.
	THE TEAM

Mat, who runs the firm has a sales and management background but his real passion is spending time in Kenya & Sri Lanka where he has personally contributed a great deal raising awareness of issues and working with many different organisations. Catherine is a qualified British nurse who has also spent time working in Kenyan Clinics and on many other medical projects. She can answer any questions relating to the medicine / nursing placements or general booking questions, help or advice.		Email Catherine
For Journalism and media placement enquires email Steve. He also works for the National newspaper of Kenya and is well connected throughout the Nairobi media world.		Email Steve
Freddie, a Mombasa local agent can advise on placements coastal side. He knows the area inside out and can help and advise with travel plans in the area, such as a safari or a trip to the regions pristine beaches. Freddie monitors and researches new projects in the south coast region.		Email Freddie
Lydia, who works closely with Kenya social services, maintains contact with our Children's homes projects and other humanitarian placements. She has a great knowledge and contacts within the child welfare organisations of Kenya and can advise on those related placements.		Email Lydia
Kassapa is our Sri Lanka manager and oversees and co-ordinates our projects on the ground. He is around to help and guide volunteers as well as induct them and make them feel at home. Along with him we have various other drivers and agents .		Email Kassapa
Rath, a qualified teacher from Colombo is our volunteer coordinator in Sri Lanka. He prepares and organises the programs for our Kosgoda visitors, as well as mentoring volunteers in their early days of a placement.		Email Rathnayala
